Dr. Justin Behnke

Dr. Justin Behnke was born and raised on a farm in the small town of Durango, Iowa. It was there where he learned the values of hard work and discipline that would be the backbone (pun intended) of his educational and professional endeavors.

Dr. Behnke attended St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa and received his bachelors of science degree in biology, graduating cum laude. Throughout his time at St. Ambrose he was an active member of the National Science Foundation and was named to the Dean’s List for academic excellence each semester. After finishing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Behnke attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. He takes great pride in the education he received and earned numerous scholarships and awards during his time there. Dr. Behnke graduated at the top of his class, summa cum laude, was a clinical excellence nominee and a recipient of the Academic Excellence Award.

Dr. Behnke provides the most contemporary, high quality, research based care to serve the West Des Moines area. His focus lies in both static and dynamic body posture. Dr. Behnke utilizes a vast array of chiropractic techniques to improve posture and ultimately body function. In conjunction with chiropractic adjustments, he provides patients with the tools that enable them to stabilize themselves by developing strength, endurance, and normal ranges of motion. Through application of his knowledge in health, fitness and nutrition, Dr. Behnke is able to give patients a multifaceted approach to wellness. His treatments are intended to improve body function as a whole as opposed to addressing isolated symptoms of a specific problem.

When not busy in the office, Dr. Behnke enjoys mountain biking, hiking, volleyball, a good game of bean bags, and working up a sweat in the gym. Justin lives at home with his partner in crime (and practice) and their dog, Hoosier.
